Fused Earrings




Fused Earrings are made of Fusible glass. They may be
of more than one color, sandwiched together and fused
in the kiln. Some of the fused Earrings are made with
what we call Frit. Frit is scrap glass that I grind myself
into fine, medium, course or even powder. Frit can be
layered in between two pieces of glass or just sprinkled
on the top. Some use it in molds, but the process takes
two or more firings because as the glass melts it sinks into
the mold causing indentation. You need to keep adding
frit and firing to reach the desired look.

My details of each piece will state if it has frit in it,
or if it was a mold processed piece.
